I AM 7TH MAY ON BUBANJ, AND YOU?

Within program of National campaign “Clean up the Serbia” and worlds ecological campaign “Clean up the World 2011”, Saturday, 7th May, in Memorial Park “Bubanj” in Nis, under patronage of City Municipality of Palilula and support of Ministry of Environment, Mining and Spatial Planning, will be held big action of spring cleaning and arranging of this memorial complex, under the motto “I am 7th May on Bubanj, and you?”. Goal of this action is removing lay stall and dump and arranging green surfaces of Memorial Park Bubanj. “Why Memorial Park Bubanj?” – Because it is the nearest resort of the people from Nis. – Because we love our city and we want to enjoy in clean environment.”

On this occasion, in MEDIA CENTER OF NIS was held PRESS CONFERENCE. About program of activities spoke representatives of management of Palilula Municipality and coalition of organizations of civil society, institutions and organizations, which will take part in Saturday in arranging of Memorial Park “Bubanj”, Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic, President of City Municipality of Palilula and Boban Mikic, member of the Council and Coordinator of activity “Clean up the Serbia” for Nis – Palilula. “We expect that with this action we encourage responsible that finally include Park “Bubanj” in program of regular maintenance. This space deserves more attention of society – highlighted President of the Municipality Prof. Dr Igor Novakovic. Palilula Municipality is in the process of obtaining  grant from program of neighborly cooperation, financed by European Union by which would and practically been realized project of detail arranging of Memorial Park.

Participation in action of arranging of Bubanj announced: Green Network of City of Nis, associations: My Bubanj, EKOpolis Network, Voluntary Center, Student Parliament, Scout Association of City of Nis, association PULS, Become Green and You, ZOO Planet, PLANT, Green Key, Organization MNRO, Citizens Council of Local Office Bubanj, Count, Sure Step, Office for Youth of Palilula Municipality, Army of Serbia, PUE “Mediana”, PUE “Gorica”, PUE “Naisus”, PUE “Toplana”, Serbian Railways. Special interest are shown by students of elementary schools: “ Kralj Petar Prvi”, “Radoje Domanovic”, “Bubanjski heroji”, gymnasium “Svetozar Markovic”, High Technical School, representatives of “Coca Cola”.

”So if you love your city, wake up, be active, join us! We are waiting for you 7th May on Bubanj!” – said the participants on the press conference. Gathering of volunteers will be from 09 am on the plateau at the Memorial Park. It is expected that action “ I am 7th May on Bubanj, and You?” gather about 1000 participants – volunteers on Bubanj – said Boban Mikic, member of the Council of the City Municipality of Palilula. In activity of arranging will take a part and employees of Municipal Administration of Palilula, members of Assembly, members of Citizen`s Council. According to Mikic were invited and colleagues in other city municipalities and City Administration.
